Grants

Are you in need of some free money? Well, why not look into the various goverment grants that are available to all United States citizens?

As of this year, 2008, there are more than 1,000 federal programs; 24,000 state programs; 30,000 private foundations; and 20,000 scholarship programs available. Out of all those goverment grants, there has to be at least one that you are eligible for. Of course, searching through thousands of possibilities can be rather time consuming, so it helps to know what kind of grant you are seeking. Then again, you don't want to narrow it down too much, since you may be eligible for more than one type of program.

If you are a female business owner, you can apply for business grants and women's grants. If you are of a particular minority, you can apply for programs that fit this description. Really, the possible combinations are endless, so try and think of all the things that you are. Presently, small business grants total around $151.5 billion dollars; housing and healthcare grants are around $185.1 billion; student and college grants run into the $80 million mark; and personal needs and cash grants are in the $90 millions - that's a lot of free money just waiting to be claimed.

In addition to the ones mentioned above, there are also minority grants, women's, research, community, and non-profit goverment grants available. Did you know that you can apply for numerous grants at the same time? There is no limit to the number of applications that you can fill out, so why not try them all? The best part about these programs is that you don't have to pay back one single penny. No matter how much you are awarded, that money is yours. Additionally, you won't have to go through any credit checks, no collateral is required, and no co-signers are needed. If you have bad credit you can still apply. If you have gone bankrupt you can still apply. In short, there is no reason not to apply.

It's amazing to think that hundreds of grants go unclaimed every year. Why is this? Many people tend to opt for loans rather than thinking about these government programs. Well, don't fall into this trap.

Search for those goverment grants that suit your needs today. The government is giving out free money to those that are eligible; wouldn't it be nice to have some free money of your own?
